Among other things I'm incredibly thankful for during what felt like the longest week ever, is meeting a handful of wonderful individuals and being able to share a vulnerable space with them. I felt seen with this lot and if it weren’t for them, I would’ve stopped doing what I do. Each of them gave such importance to the relationships they were building, romantic or otherwise, they spoke of their loved ones as flawed but also as people who helped them grow. After dad’s passing, whenever people talk of loved ones and how they’re willing to work on things and go the distance, I feel a sense of calm because that’s one less person where I don’t have to fight the urge to remind, ‘Please be grateful for the ones who are staying and trying’. Those kinds are not easy to come by. People run proudly. So here goes to the best things about this trip to Trivandrum: Warmth.
And yes, I travel lightly 😂 Easy on the heart, Heavy on the shoulders.
